Artist's statement

"In my work I wanted to respond to the vast amounts of packaging and rubbish being dumped day after day on our precious planet. Packaging, on average, is held for 3 seconds and then thrown away. This throw-away lifestyle is depleting our natural resources and slowly degrading our health and the life of living creatures.

I have found a way to continue my skills in textiles and implement my passion for reusing by introducing video and cassette tape to my work. It is a product that is no longer required in our society and is thrown away or given to secondhand shops.

The "After Party" collection is made from video tape and inspired by the colours on the packaging. They are made to encourage recycling and introduce an innovative material to any interior in the form of a screen or a wall divider."
